Jeff had a wonderful time this weekend in Ottawa at the Youth Activist Forum. A huge, huge thanks to Chrissy, Dale and Erika for putting on such an amazing conference and a big tip o’ the hat to Citizens with Disabilities–Ontario for making it all possible. Unfortunately, Clara had to work and missed all the fun, but hopefully she’ll make the next one.
Jeff would like to toss a few shout outs to some of the other awesome presenters this weekend. Big ups to Steven Estey (from Disabled Peoples’ International), Betsy Valnes (from the National Youth Leadership Network), Joe Stramondo (of ADAPT Michigan), Jes Sachse (of American Able fame), Alan Shain (comedic gold), Kim Kilpatrick (amazing storyteller), the cast and crew of the documentary “Finding Our Compass” (from ReachOut Toronto), Propeller Dance, and way too many others to name. Also, big shout outs to all our new friends and fans–stay in touch, we’ll see you soon, and keep on rockin’ in the free world.
